Apps worth keeping.
We’re Daisy Digital, an independent software company creating apps for everyday life.
What guides usAbout Daisy Digital
Made with care,
from the start.
We bring product design, writing, and software engineering together to build our own mobile apps. We care about the words on screen, the choices people are offered, and the details that make software feel comfortable to use.
Our starting point is the person using what we make: their time, their privacy, and their freedom to choose. Those considerations shape our work from the first sketch to the finished experience.
Our principles
Built around people.
- Clarity
- Use plain words. Make the next step clear. We aim to make useful ideas easy to understand, without asking people to learn our terminology.
- Privacy
- Make privacy part of the design from the start. Be deliberate about what information is needed, explain how it is handled, and give people meaningful control.
- Choice
- Let people set the pace. We believe choosing to pause, change direction, or leave should be as straightforward as getting started.
- Attention
- Respect the time spent with our software. We design for a clear purpose and a natural stopping point, with room for life beyond the screen.
- Accessibility
- Consider different abilities, energy levels, and ways of understanding. Readable text, clear navigation, and considered use of motion belong in the design from the beginning.
- Accuracy
- Make claims we can support. We value careful research, acknowledge limits, and choose the simplest accurate explanation over the most impressive-sounding one.
Our culture
Care in how
we work.
- Start with a question.
- What does this help someone do? We question assumptions, look for evidence, and make room to change our minds as we learn.
- Work across disciplines.
- Words, design, and code shape the same experience. We consider them together, giving a sentence or a small interaction the same care as the system behind it.
- Keep things purposeful.
- Every feature adds something to learn and maintain. We ask what can be simplified or removed, and keep what serves the person using it.
